I bought this feeder a couple of years ago for my 2 red eared sliders. I had used solid vacation food packs and my turtles didn't care for them and the water was fouled by the blocks. I then bought a medium priced automatic feeder from WalMart, but it didn't hold enough food for 2 weeks. JP recommended this unit as an alternative and I must say that it's awesome.
We bought it for vacations, but now it's the primary way that we feed the turtles. It holds about 2 weeks worth of food and it has been 100% reliable. The turtles are fed twice a day by the feeder. We've never had a jam or any issue and the batteries have only needed to be changed once in 2 years.
Highly recommended.
