These are probably one of the strangest looking shrimp you'll encounter offered in the trade. Though the picture doesn't really show their colors well, they are a white color with blue markings all over their body.

These shrimp only eat live starfish. Their reported preference is Linckia but they are also known to take stars like the chocolate chip as well.

Depending on the size of the shrimp, it will flip the star over onto it's back exposing it's most vulnerable areas. The star will usually just sacrifice the leg and hopefully grow it back later. I have noticed though that the small shrimp I have kept in stock will just ride the star and start eating at the tips. Their appetite is small enough for the star to be able to regenerate quickly.

They are best kept in pairs and once and they may go for weeks at a time between meals which should ease the drain on your wallet. To get them to grow and reproduce you will have to provide them with a more frequent meal.
