Tonga Yellow Leather
Sarcophyton elegans

This is a gorgeous yellow leather from Tonga. This coral, once acclimated, is both hardy and easily propagated. It will do well under all types of reef tank lighting out there. A moderate flow will be appreciated. It seems in our experience the greatest difficulty with this coral is shipping it. We have found that it can often meet it's demise during shipping. Therefor, we can only make this coral available to those who can pick it up in person.

These leathers like most others will shed away dead skin to rid themselves of build up often. The coral may appear to be shriveled up for a few days and then suddenly burst out with full polyp extension after the shed is complete. This is completely normal and a moderate current will help in blowing the dead tissue away.
